The lush fairways, challenging greens, and picturesque views make it a top choice for local golfers.

Membership at FCCC provides more than just access to the incredible golf course—the club also features a fitness center, swimming pool, tennis courts, and even children’s programming and space, as well as fine dining options that often have fun holiday events. The club offers a range of membership options tailored to different needs, from full memberships to social memberships.

RainDance National – The Longest Golf Course in North America

If you’re looking for a unique challenge, head over to RainDance National in nearby Windsor, just a short drive from Sonders Fort Collins. This course, renowned for being the longest in North America, stretches over 8,400 yards. Designed by PGA Tour player Fred Funk, RainDance National is a true test of skill with its vast fairways, undulating greens, and stunning vistas of the Rocky Mountains.

RainDance is a public/private course, so you can choose to get a membership or pay a green fee ($150 for 18 holes in peak season). 

Pelican Lakes Golf Course

RainDance National is the sister course to Pelican Lakes, another gem in Northern Colorado. Pelican Lakes offers a different golfing experience with its 27 holes that meander along the scenic Cache la Poudre River. Between these two courses, you’ll find endless opportunities to refine your game and soak in the beauty of Colorado’s landscapes.

Pelican Lakes is a private golf course with a membership initiation fee of $7,500 and monthly dues starting at $184/month. 

Ptarmigan Country Club

A private club offering an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature course, Ptarmigan Country Club is known for its challenging design and beautiful surroundings, making it a must-play for serious golfers. Just 20 minutes south of Sonders, it’s a relatively exclusive private club with around 400 members and very active golf associations for both men and women. Their most basic membership is a social membership with a $2,000 initiation fee and $175 in monthly dues, which also provides access to the club’s other amenities like the pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and the on-site restaurant. 

City of Fort Collins Golf Courses

The City of Fort Collins operates three public Golf Courses, and green fees start at about $21 for 9 holes. The City also provides the option to buy an Annual Pass or Premier Card which gives you discounted access to all three courses. 

Southridge Golf Course is an 18-hole course known for its affordable rates and well-maintained greens. It’s a great option for golfers of all levels looking to enjoy a day on the links without breaking the bank. Located in southeast Fort Collins, Southridge is just 20 minutes south of Sonders Fort Collins. 

Collindale Golf Course is a championship-length, 18-hole public course that offers a challenging layout with tree-lined fairways and fast greens. It’s a favorite among locals for its accessibility and quality, and is about 15 minutes South of Sonders.

Though small, City Park Nine is a great 9-hole course in the heart of Fort Collins, perfect for a quick stop any time of day and also an excellent spot to take beginner golfers.
