Sonders Fort Collins continues to take shape, with exciting progress across the community and the first major steps toward one of its most anticipated amenities: the Sonders Learning Center (SLC) and pool. From groundbreaking celebrations to new home construction, summer 2025 has been a season of momentum. Read on!

Breaking Ground on the Sonders Learning Center (SLC)

On August 8, residents, future homeowners, community partners, and local officials gathered to officially break ground on the Sonders Learning Center (SLC) and the heart of Sonders’ amenity offerings. This initial phase of construction at the SLC includes:

• Main building with hospitality area, gathering spaces, and restrooms/changing rooms
• Resort-style pool and hot tub
• Pool deck with lounge seating, shaded areas, and BBQ space
• EV charging stations and bike racks
  

Construction on these elements is projected to be complete by mid-summer 2026. Future phases will bring additional amenities, including the BODY and ARTS studios and outdoor sports courts, which will be announced at a later date.

Community Support and Collaboration

The groundbreaking drew a diverse crowd. From City of Fort Collins representatives and CSU’s Institute of the Built Environment, to Saunders Construction (the builder selected to construct the SLC) and all of Sonders’ homebuilders, design consultants, and many current and future residents. The strong turnout reflects the shared excitement for a community hub designed to inspire connection, learning, growth and wellness.

New Home Milestones: Boulder Creek Neighborhoods at Sonders

Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, the newest homebuilder at Sonders, has poured one of its very first foundations in the community. This particular lot will become the model home for the easyHouse Patio Home Collection with an opening anticipated by the end of this year. These low-maintenance, main-floor-living homes are designed for comfort, style, and ease of living.

Streetscape Progress

Beyond new builds, parts of Sonders are already showcasing the community’s long-term vision. Completed areas now feature maturing landscaping, wide sidewalks, and the thoughtful streetscape design that makes Sonders a truly walkable, welcoming neighborhood.

Looking Ahead: Get to Know Boulder Creek Neighborhoods

Boulder Creek Neighborhoods will host a “Get to Know the Builder” event in early September at our neighboring Fort Collins Country Club. This casual, open-house-style gathering will feature floorplan displays, opportunities to meet the team, and a chance to learn more about Boulder Creek Neighborhood’s three collections of new homes coming to Sonders.
